Old English Sheepdog Description : Most widely recognized as the "nanny dog" in the movie Peter Pan, they are also affectionately called the "Bobtail", so named because of the lack of a tail. They are affectionate, loyal and quite protective of those they love. Natural protectors, they were originally the guardians of a flock and this instinct is displayed in their tendency to adopt young animals and children.
